      These 4 x 4 sterile gauze; split sponges, are great for what they are intended for. I recommend securing them with adhesive tape, in the event no open blister, burn or ulcer wound is present on the patient's epidermis, in the area in which it is applied. I recommend medical dressing changes daily, in order to keep the area clean as well as to prevent infection.

      My husband has been using these split sponges for the past 3 years, and I am happy to say that I have placed my last order for them. His G-tube came out last week and he is "free". HealthyKin has been a part of our journey for the past couple of years. Their prices are fair and the service is excellent. I will continue to order from HealthyKin other items as needed.       In my experience, this item is necessary for a patient that needs on-going wound care; daily medical dressing changes, where a surgically implanted tube, enters the anatomy. Medical dressing changes are crucial, in order to keep the area clean, dry as well as to prevent infection.

      This item is utilized DAILY, in order to change the medical dressing of a Jejunal tube access point, located at about the sternum area, outside of the patients anatomy. The medical dressing must be changed daily, in order to keep the access point clean and from becoming infected. Thank you for expediting this order in an expedient manner.
