    These are much thinner than I expected. I have been using a 12 ply sponge that was so thick I had to cut it in half. I need 2 of these for a good thickness. They won't last long at that rate.

    Too thin, takes 8 sponges(not really sponges). to do the job of 4. These are gauze pads, for if they were sponges, they would absorb some of the drainage.
