Health O Meter Talking Digital Floor Scale

HOW THE HELL DO I GET THE BATTERY DOOR OPEN??????

Upon opening the box I found that the directions are skimpy: in regards to the talking mechanism- there is no explanation as to what pushing the button does & how many times if any to push it to silence it or change the voice's language... I did not want a scale that I had to "tap" to activate, or that had a glass component but this has both features even though multiple adds did not mention describe this scale as such... (on the underside, its a cold, shinny dark glass surface (I did not want a glass component). I don't know if UPS was rough w/package, but it has registered & spoken weights that are off by as much 6 lbs from a reading minutes before... I am disappointed at the wide size though I should have noted the given measurements. Additionally, out of the box this scale required more than a single tap: I had to tap it repeatedly & get on & off the scale several times before getting a weight response (it was slow to activate). I am returning it, & do not want another, will choose between a Taylor or Detecto regular talking scale.

It's a great scale, easy to use, accurate weight

No manual an that cheap

Needs an instruction booklet or something but otherwise it works straight from the box after inserted batteries
