The prefilled flush syringe may be used following the injection or infusion of medication to maintain the patency of indwelling intravenous access devices. The isotonic solution in the ISO-compliant, large-barrel, luer lock syringe design employs no-reflux flushing technology and is compatible with intravenous tubing, indwelling catheters, and other access devices used in intermittent injection, infusion therapy, or blood sampling. They are available in a variety of fill volumes to accommodate different catheter maintenance practices. The total osmolar concentration of the solution is 0.308 mOsm/mL.
