Smith and Nephew No Sting Skin Prep from HealthyKin.com is an alcohol free, film-forming skin preparation that upon application to intact or damaged skin, forms a protective interface that helps prepare skin attachment sites for drainage tubes, external catheters, surrounding ostomy sites and other adhesive dressings. This product uses the newest formula developed by Smith and Nephew. The old formula skin prep is no longer available.

Smith and Nephew No Sting Skin Prep Features:

    • Film Forming Skin Protectant
      • Prepares skin for adhesive and provides a protective interface that may reduce friction during the removal of a tape.
    • Water Based Solvent
      • Extra gentle on sensitive or damaged skin. The water based solvent also ensures the product is easily removed.
    • Moisturizer
      • Conditions the skin to minimize formation of dry skin.
    • Only One Coat Required
      • Less product is used per application to form a protective film, so patients are more comfortable during application.
    • Easy Application
      • Applies easily on awkward areas such as elbows, knees and heels.Moves naturally with patient's skin and will not crack or peel.
    • Easy Removal
      • Removes easily using a skin cleanser or soap and water, so unsanitary residue is not left in or around the wound area.

I use on my husbands wound that is requiring extended care. Because of the constant putting on and pulling off tape, the skin prep keeps his skin in good condition. And the lollypops are way to use.

I really like this product. The pads have enough liquid sting protection on them so that I don't have to use 3 or 4. One will do. They also do a good job of protecting my husbands skin.

Does not sting when applied. used for small stage 2 ulcer on husbands bottom. Provides a protective layer and is also a good adhesive for dressings. Is very sticky.

Used on sore on mothers bottom. Helped to heal but had to be careful because protective pads under her would stick to skin.

Love this brand! They are the only skin preps that do not burn my son. The "lollipop" style works perfectly with the stoma powder we use with his appliance.
