Enluxtra Self-Adaptive Wound Dressing from HealthyKin.com is designed for all wounds - from high exuding to low or no exuding. Effective exudate management and an optimal moist healing environment is ensured along the whole wound healing trajectory. Enluxtra can absorb 1500% of its own weight and locks the fluid in. The absorbed exudate is not released under high pressure (body weight) or compression wrap. Enluxtra is a high comfort dressing. It does not adhere to the wound, so dressing removal is non-traumatic and painless.

    Enluxtra Self-Adaptive Wound Dressing Features:

    • One works for all wounds - no worry, no guesswork, no hassle
    • No need to cut or assemble, easy application
    • Non-adherent - easy painless removal by one piece
    • Autolytic debridement
    • Moist healing protocol for any wound
    • Very high absorbency where and when needed
    • No maceration
    • No desiccation
    • Microbial strike through barrier - no need for secondary dressing

I have not purchased this product from HealthyKin because my Medicare HMO provides it for me. Nevertheless, I feel I must add my feedback about this product because my experience has been radically different from the majority of reviewers. Enluxtra is indeed highly absorbent. I tell people the pads start out as thin as a pancake, but by the time exudate is absorbed, it has become as thick as a waffle. Unfortunately, under compression, the expansion presses the dressing into the wound and surrounding area. Not only is this extremely painful, but it causes deep depressions in and around the wound, tearing up what had been relatively healthy skin. Also, I have experienced exudate leakage on several occasions, most recently in a gravity-defying *upward* direction. I must be very careful when I change dressings because the exudate runs out of the Enluxtra pad as from a completely saturated sponge if I exert the least pressure on the pad itself. Very messy and very smelly.

I thoroughly agree with Dr. Garten. Enluxtra decreases the number of dressing changes necessary, especially as a wound begins to heal, and thus saves time and human energy required to change wounds. It thus saves money, too. Healthy Kin prices are affordable.

Just used it one week but so far so good. We got the 4 by 4 and although they appeared to be working they barely covered the wound. so I have purchased the 6 x6 we are now trying. Looking for great results soon.

This dressing really does what it claims to. I am a diabetic that had a diabetic ulcer and it helped tremendously in the healing process. I am no longer worried about this life threatening problem as Enluxtra really works. Thanks Don

Superb dressing especially on wounds that have different drainage points. Really stops maceration. I used it on a patient that had some tendon exposed and it really kept it from drying.

I have used Enluxtra for almost one year now. There have only been positive experiences with this product. In the past it was difficult to decide which out of all the products to use that are on the market…and there are a lot of them. Now, I have a wound care product that can do everything . Enluxtra has great absorbency capabilities, autolytically debrides and especially can be left on longer than most dressings. Patients like it because it is easy to use, very cost effective and heals their wound faster. If you have not tried it yet then you should. Dr. Alison Garten
